17th Century Polish Nobleman’s War Hammer Private Collection Polish war hammers are highly sought after and they are vast variations, This war hammer is quiet refined and was made for a noble possibly for parade. The shaft is comprised of a square iron shaft which has some form of bronze / copper inlay and front guard for the handle. The handle itself is wrapped with red velvet fabric with multiple studs, the pommel is wood working as a baluster. The head and pick has some very light play, as is fitted with a belt clip. the head itself is a very octagonal straight hammer with a piercing pick.
