19th – 20th Century Mongolian or Chinese Silver Sword This interesting Asian sword with original case is well cast and gilded in silver. Probably made between the late 19th to mid-20th century, the intricate detail may point to it being a presentation sword. Similar examples can be found online of Chinese and Mongolian origins. The sword fitting and hilt are cast in bronze and gilded. The case has a nice exterior design pattern with extensive wear and appears to have travelled, a crossed-out address is written on the bottom of the case. The hilt is a solid cast piece with large guard set with what appear to be dragons and equally intricate pommel. The scabbard is in excellent condition and well-cast, the central region of the scabbard is inlaid with stones. The blade is a Asian style slim double edge blade with signs of use and age.
