Description ITEM DESCRIPTION: Comes with kimono or cotton bag. Comes with certificate of supein Nihonto. Comes with original prefecture certificate. Blade This blade, signed Hizen no Kuni Tadayoshi (肥前國忠吉), exhibits the hallmark traits of the Hizen tradition: a straight suguha hamon, visible hada (likely konuka-hada), and a balanced overall form. The polish allows for a good appreciation of the internal steel activity, and the mid-sized chu-kissaki with clearly defined yokote confirms the blade’s craftsmanship and age. There are no structural flaws visible, and only light signs of wear consistent with age. Signature (Mei) The signature 肥前國忠吉 corresponds to one of the generations of the renowned Tadayoshi lineage of Hizen Province. The the blade quality suggests a middle generation, perhaps the 4th to 6th, active during the Edo period.
