WW2 Burma Chindit Dah-Type Machete With Traditional Leather Scabbard These types of machetes were issued to the Chindit Regiment in WW2 against Japanese Forces in Burma. A genuine British issue WW2 Chindit Regiment machete as used by the Armed Commonwealth Forces and the Chindit Regiment against the Japanese. This style of machete is based in the Kachin Daos from northern Burma, this machete is made from Carbon steel and would have been indispensable for Elite Chindit soldiers in the tough Burmese Jungle. Some variations are fitted with the all leather scabbard but the machete is the more traditional type having the original handle and leather scabbard, with both the scabbard and blade having some markings. The scabbard and blade really show the extensive battle use this machete endured, Much of the thread holding the leather scabbard is missing and can be repaired however I believe in leaving it in its original form as this is the history of the object Specifications: Length: 56 cm Enquire Now
