Medieval Bollock Dagger SOLD This fine medieval all bollock / kidney dagger is in a fine state and dates from the 19th century. These types where increasingly popular pieces throughout Europe but not many complete examples can be found still intact with all the original parts. The hilt is simple design with a with iron pommel cap with carved bone a iron wire grip which must have had a leather or fabric wrapping as there is some remanence at the top and bottom of the iron wrapping. A set of iron rounded quillons which give this dagger its iconic name and shape. The blade is in excellent shape and is the traditional double edge design and well preserved. The scabbard fits well and snug with no play and has a wooden frame which is wrapped with old leather and metal fittings.
