Edo Period Japanese Katana with Beautiful Koshirae This interesting Katana from the Edo period dated between1700 ‘s – 1800’s, un-signed with a Koshirae. The Koshirae is a dark with interesting ribbed pattern for the scabbard, the binding and fittings are all in excellent condition. The tsuba and fittings have some looseness, and the saya is probably had some work done to it. The blade is great condition and quiet unique being a heavier style blade and also having a wider blade than many of the other swords I have handled. The Katana also has a very nice hamon line.
