15th-16th Century Japanese Samurai Tachi Koto blade but the length is almost that of a katan (Blade 59.8 cm) forged around 1400-1500. The blade is not marked, it is probably a shortened tachi The blade is in excellent condition, no defects, cracks (hagire) etc. The shape of the blade is called SHINOGI ZUKURI, the most classic type of Japanese sword. The sword is in the original polish – great projected planes, edges, perfectly visible hamon, well visible hada.
