Antique Imperial Russian Silver Kindjal This Kindjal is in excellent shape having all original parts and excellent silver fittings which were expertly crafted. Undoubtedly this piece was made for someone of importance, probably a very high ranking Military officer. The Kindjal is from the 19th to the the early 20th century. These types of Kindjals were used by Imperial Russian / Cossack / Caucasian / Georgian officers. The hilt is the traditional Kindjal design, this hilt is fitted with horn (deer) grips accompanied by silver cover on the exterior. The hilt does not display any damage, looseness or wobbling. The dagger is fitted with a clean great condition double edge blade, the blade having multiple fullers with a double stamped. The stamp is a cartouche with Islamic symbols. The blade fits snugly in the scabbard, and some strength must be used to unsheathe the dagger. The scabbard is in excellent condition having beautiful silver fittings and original leather.
