The notare-midare hamon is clearly visible, and the jihada (grain) is well defined under a high-quality polish. The nakago bears three mekugi-ana, suggesting historical remounting or shortening (suriage), though no inscriptions are present. Mounting (koshirae): Saya: Deep dark brown lacquer with a sober, refined finish. Tsuba: Pierced iron tsuba (sukashi) with a radial design and intricate gold cloud motifs, representing celestial dynamism. Fuchi/Kashira: Crafted in iron, decorated with fine floral patterns in relief, with traces of gold. Tsuka: Wrapped in brown tsuka-ito over white samegawa, tightly and elegantly braided. Menuki: Not clearly visible but integrated beneath the wrap. Includes shirasaya for preservation.
